Sample Lesson

Acquaint yourself or others in your school with Echoes and Reflections by reviewing material from Lesson 4: The Ghettos. Watch testimony from two survivors who experienced life in the Lodz ghetto, and see how visual history testimony is seamlessly integrated into the lesson. Explore the organization of the lessons and the type of content that you can expect to see across the curriculum.

If you would prefer to have a copy of the sample lesson and testimony mailed to you, email echoes@adl.org with your request.

English teachers will find Echoes and Reflections a valuable tool for exploring the human story in gripping and metaphoric detail. The narratives, images, and activities can be used in a variety of literal and creative ways to enhance students’ social and academic education about the Holocaust and the experience of human suffering and striving.
